April 2024 ~ EP recording

We spent the day at Leeds Conservatoire recording our first ever EP! It’s full of Sonority favourites, and we can’t wait to share it with you. A huge thanks goes to the wonderful music production students for their hard work, Si McGrath for supervising so wonderfully, and Laura McIntosh for being a diligent second set of ears

If you’d like to support our EP, ticket proceeds from our upcoming concerts will be supporting its production! We hope to see you there

February 2024 ~ Mrs Sunderland Festival

We had a wonderful time competing for the first time at the Mrs Sunderland 2024 Festival this year! It was a pleasure listening to and competing alongside a varied range of extremely talented choirs over the course of the day, including Denby Dale Ladies, Songbirds, and Pitch and Mix.

We’re so excited to have won the Adult/Mixed age Small Choirs class, and to have placed third in the Choir Programme class, with some glowing feedback from the adjudicators!

November 2023 ~ Hallmark of Harmony 45th Anniversary Performance

The wonderful Hallmark of Harmony have asked us to help celebrate their 45th birthday! We’ll be joining them for Kaleidoscope in November, along with One World Choir, Blingmasters, and Abbeydale Singers.

We hope to see you there!

August 2022 ~ St John’s Ranmoor

We had the privilege of singing with accompaniment from Liz Hanks at Gillian and Stephen’s wedding at St John’s Ranmoor! Our talented alto, Nitty, arranged a gorgeous rendition of “If I Should Fall Behind” by Bruce Springsteen for the occasion

Please get in touch if you’d like to hire us for your special day!

October 2021 ~ Sheffield Cemetery Wedding

It was a real joy to sing at Lowri and Graham’s wedding in Samuel Worth Chapel! We’ll be premiering a bespoke arrangement of N.I.B very soon

April 2020 ~ Singing Through The Crisis

These are the most unusual times and everyone is finding their worlds are upside down. We are sadly no longer able to meet up and make music together but that is not going to stop us. We are finding creative ways round, learning to use technology we didn’t even know existed and finding exciting and new ways to sing together.

Our new ‘Virtual Choir’ is really coming together. Through experimentation we have found a way to meet, rehearse and sing together (Sort of!) Our first experiment was with Emma Lou Diemers gorgeous setting of Shakespeare’s Take Oh Take Those Lips Away from Measure for Measure.

Caroline also was invited to go on Radio Sheffield to talk about the power of singing, community and how we need it more than ever. Catch the excerpt at 44 minutes in.
